Representatives of the Lithuanian Folk Wrestling Federation will present the tradition of folk wrestling in Lithuania, demonstrate fights and organise competitions that will be open to spectators of all ages.

14:00 Small Stage. Jūratė Šemetaitė, head of the Ethnic Culture Department of the Lithuanian National Culture Centre, will teach lullabies, games and other pieces that will be handy for putting children to sleep and educating them.

The peculiarities of playing the bandoneon will be revealed by one of the most famous Lithuanian bandoneon players, Albinas Batavičius.

Vilnius folklore ensembles Poringės and Nalšia will ignite the spark of polka dance night, while Audronė Vakarinienė, the leader of the ensembles and choreographic folklore specialist at the Lithuanian National Culture Centre, will talk about the diversity of polka tradition.

Alfreda Petrauskienė, head of Mindūnai Lake Fishery Museum Division of Molėtai Regional Museum, and Tereza Šakienė, museum worker of Molėtai Regional Museum, will demonstrate the secrets of knitting a net – the essential attribute of the tradition, and share the experience of preserving the tradition.
